My name is Irina Ivanova. I teach at Lyuben Karavelov Primary School – Yambol. I am a primary teacher with twenty-six years of professional experience. I teach to class 4A – the music class. Despite all the challenges, obstacles and disappointments, I work with love and heart. My satisfaction lies in small things we do everyday, in small student achievements more than in remarkable results that are not always there. Children do a lot because they want to do it. They are naturally curious, they want to explore and discover. If they learn to get satisfaction and success, they will want to learn more. They learn from everything that surrounds them.
I chose a wallpaper for my classroom 301 in an orange-yellow range with an image of castles and short positive messages. These spontaneous expressions lighten the grey school mornings. They awaken emotions that are new to young people. It is wonderful to see their faces with their eyes shining. The solar range illuminating the classroom gives self-esteem, inspires confidence and optimism. It creates a scene for enthusiasm, warmth and confidence in the young artists of the future.
The new learning atmosphere creates the attitude of an exciting journey into the world of literature, science, art. I notice the change – more curious, more seeking, more knowledgeable.
I often stand before them, lifted by the energy of the short messages: “Dream,” “Travel!”, “Believe!” … “Fly!”
