Subproject “Art Foyer”

School lounges are large, monotonous spaces.

They are often deserted and not best utilised by students. Through the “Art Foyer” project, we would like to inspire life by creating an aesthetically pleasing and positive environment for the recreation of the students.

Goal:

Students themselves create their beautiful space for recreation by restoring and decorating furniture.

How does the project work:

1. Creating an interior design for the chairs, sofas, tables and the library.

2. Restoration and decoration of the existing furniture

3. Selecting a of creative team of people – both teachers and students.

4. Students bring from home favourite magazines and books.

5. Creating spots with “cleaner” flowers and herbs.

6. Students create hanging curtains, using different materials and artistic techniques.

Benefits of the project:

– ecological thinking – students give life to the old school furniture under the motto “Do not kill a tree”

– stimulate creative thinking and expression that continues in participants’ everyday life.

– give children the chance to express themselves.

– create opportunities for students to look after their school environment

– create an awareness for beauty and aesthetics among students

– train and show students how to look after plants/flowers

– inspire children to read
