My name is Daisy Bankova – a student from the 5A grade of Lyuben Karavelov High School in Yambol, and I like studying all the subjects. But, my favorite subject is the Bulgarian language.

I have attended this school from the first grade. Our previous class teacher made incredible things for us to feel comfortable in the classroom and to go to school with interest. But the school looked dark, the lamps were broken, some did not work, or emitted a strange sound. In short, something was missing and I did not like it.

I wanted something different.

It was as if somebody had read my thoughts because at the beginning of this year things were radically different. It turned out that our school is working on the project “I love my school.” All of our teachers had joined and put a lot of effort and diligence to surprise us.

Never mind that only on the third floor where our classrooms changed; they were transformed – colourful, with beautiful wallpapers, with new LED lighting. This creates not only a good mood for everyone, but is also driving us to be more responsible, and learn with pleasure.

I like all the rooms but I like my room the most. We call it the room with the castle. Who would not like it? Everyone would like to study in a castle like in the fairy tales.

In particular, I am inspired by the Bulgarian language and literature cabinet. It is dominated by the blue colour, and on the photo wallpaper there is a large open book with a little girl reading with a flashlight. It seems to be calling us to peer into the open book that will take us into unknown worlds. And what is written…Come and see for yourself.

The corridor and the lobby are in the “Autumn” theme. The wallpapers with the written messages make us feel important, feel better and to think positively. They make us feel comfortable even during the break.

In my opinion, everyone would feel comfortable in this environment – like at home. Whether it appears to me or not, but it seems that my classmates have the motivation to preserve more, as well as the responsibility to preserve nature.

It’s great that there are people like Mr. Arthur Spurling and Mrs. Albena Spurling, who are ready to make the children happy.
