Тheme of the project:

“Happiness”

Inspiration for the interior design:

Joy is a quality of the soul that everyone needs to discover and share with others. We can feel joy in the flutter of butterflies and the unique patterns on their wings, in the smile of sunflowers and the scent of meadows and fields, sprinkled with colourful flowers. When the school is decorated with colourful images of nature, they evoke joy and smiles. Children feel more relaxed and motivated to attend school with pleasure. The learning process becomes easy and pleasant, aggression and tension decrease. That is why we have chosen images from nature that make everyone feel happy regardless of their age.

The school before the project “I Love my school”

Description of the project

In the age of digital technologies and online communication, school remains one of the main places of social and personal contacts for children, both with their peers and teachers, employees, guests from different walks of life. Guided by our care for the students’ intellectual and emotional growth, our team at Vasil Levski Secondary School in Manole, working on the project, wants to create a pleasant, calm, and inspiring environment where they can communicate and learn. We want to attract children to school through this project. We would like to show how beautiful, interesting, and entertaining the world of knowledge is. We want to inspire them for new ideas so they can develop their talents.

Floor 1

Butterflies in the world of fairy tales

The youngest pupils are on the first floor. We have used wallpapers with images of beautiful pictures of Nature from the magical world of fairy tales and favourite fairy tale characters.  Our goal is to create a sense of beauty and kindness from an early age and a strive for creativity and following one’s dreams.

Floor 2

Sunflowers – getting to know society and people

The special subject rooms and classrooms of the junior high school are on the second floor. Each classroom has an image that inspires students to explore the world of science of nature, society, and people. The corridors on the second floor have friezes with beautiful, bright-yellow sunflowers, symbolising young people’s curiosity and thirst for life. This is a way we could provoke their adventurous spirit and encourage them to discover new ideas and new places to express their interests.

Floor 3

“Mountains – we strive for the peaks of knowledge“

What our students and teachers have created is something to be proud of. The Bulgarians have not only defended their right to exist over the centuries but have also established their identity through what they have created. Our idea is for the high school students on the third floor to feel the unique atmosphere of Bulgaria by means of our wallpapers depicting the beauty and grandeur of Bulgarian mountains. Their presence throughout thousands of years and their symbolic significance for the independence and freedom of the Bulgarian spirit will remind young people they need to stand up for themselves and follow their dreams to succeed.
