Project Inspiration

At Dr. Petar Beron Primary School in Rebrovo, we developed an interior concept inspired by the magic of stories and the power of knowledge. In the primary grades, classrooms have been transformed into enchanting worlds based on beloved children’s books such as The Little Round Loaf, Pippi Longstocking, and The Little Prince. These spaces stimulate the imagination, offer warmth and comfort, and foster a love of reading and learning. For older students, each classroom reflects the subject being taught—literature invites you into the world of books, geography encourages exploration, and the sciences inspire discovery and experimentation. We chose this approach because we believe an inspiring environment awakens curiosity, makes learning enjoyable, and builds a deeper emotional connection to school.

Project Description

The project aims to transform the educational environment at Dr. Petar Beron Primary School into a space that inspires, educates, and uplifts. We believe that thoughtful interior design directly impacts students’ motivation, concentration, and self-esteem. The combination of fairy tale-inspired classrooms for younger students and subject-themed spaces for older ones creates a setting that fosters creativity, engagement, and a sense of comfort. In this environment, children learn with enthusiasm, develop their imagination, and grow into confident individuals. Our goal is for school to be not just a place for learning, but a vibrant and inspiring space for discovering the world.

First floor –  “Growing Together with Love”

The foyer on the first floor has been transformed into a bright and welcoming space filled with warmth, trust, and support. Floral elements, soft colors, and graceful birds symbolize harmony and the joy of learning in an environment where everyone feels accepted and encouraged. Words like “truth,” “confidence,” “joy,” and “support” inspire students to believe in themselves and in the good around them. This is not just an entryway—it’s the beginning of a journey toward knowledge, one that we walk together, with love.

Second floor – “Flight of Dreams”

An uplifting atmosphere greets students on the second floor. A golden blossoming tree symbolizes growth and hope, while golden birds in flight represent freedom of thought and the pursuit of new horizons. The quote “He who holds flowers in his hands can do no harm” conveys a message of faith in kindness and the power of beautiful ideas. The theme “Flight of Dreams” encourages students to dream boldly, be kind and confident, and view school as a place where every idea can flourish.

Classrooms

Children and Flowers

Creating special corners with flower “cleaners” and herbs in the classroom in the school. The aim is to enrich the air with oxygen and healing aromas. For our children to be healthy and have a quick mind, it is necessary to have clean air in the classroom, saturated with oxygen and fresh fragrances.

Plant a tree – restore the balance in nature

Trees play an important role in preserving life on earth. The more trees and forests there are – the smaller the percentage of global warming, because they extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reduce the greenhouse effect. Their roots significantly reduce the risk of flooding by improving the absorption of rainwater.

For every child in our kindergarten – we plant a tree!
