“My School – My Home!”

Inspiration of the project: 

For us, it’s important to instill in our students a love for nature, knowledge about herbs. It’s our own perfect world – our second home, our beloved school!
Because if our children have an ecological mindset and know the secrets of herbs and spices, through the delicious food they create, they will express their enjoyment of life. And what is life without food? What is food without spices? Can we imagine life without food, without this essential engine of the body that provides energy for us to achieve our goals, plan our future, and succeed? We cannot imagine life without this ‘fuel,’ without these pleasures and tastes! Naturally! That’s why we not only acquire it readily but also learn to prepare it – with a variety of spices and always – with a pinch of love!
Symbolism that we will breathe and that will inspire us every day as we seek answers to our questions, as we accumulate knowledge, skills, and competencies.
Knowledge is the fire that enhances the light of life, and anyone willing can attain it. Our primary inspiration is to motivate students to choose the path of light and knowledge, which creates the conditions for the formation of a complete personality.

Project Description

The “Atanas Chengelev” Professional High School of Food Texhnology in the city of Peshtera is a high school with a profile in culinary and taste technologies. The choice of this theme underscores the professional profile of our students. The theme is inspired by the idea of instilling in them the perfect sense of time, measure, and, of course, taste and appreciation for the art of culinary.

First floor “The Secret of Herbs”

As soon as you enter our school, you are captivated by the magical and healing power of herbs, known since ancient times.
They have yet another hidden power – they protect the home and all its inhabitants from negative energy influences. This is how you enter our school – our home – safely, with a smile, with the pleasant sensation and aroma of herbs gathered from all corners of the Earth.
They are all here – with us, just a hand’s reach away. Our chefs and restaurateurs take care that the discreet aromas of all familiar and unfamiliar spices waft through our corridors. It’s beautiful! And delicious! 

Second floor: “Respect for Nature”

Nature, with its unique and perfect appearance, makes us happy, gives us meaning, and motivates us to live amidst its beauty. We teach children to protect and love nature, to preserve it as it should be – pure and beautiful.
Values and ecological awareness towards the gifts and treasures of nature are formed. Its natural colors welcome us like family, creating a sense of tranquility, hospitality, and at the same time, confidence that we are in the right place. As soon as the first step is taken into the school, unconditional recognition unfolds before our eyes: ‘I love my school!’ And this against the backdrop of the clear blue sky, with trees and their lush crowns, grown from Mother Earth, which surely and faultlessly provides strength for life and knowledge!

Our primary inspiration is to motivate students to choose the path of light and knowledge! These are some of the fundamental values that shape the successful personality of our students.
The accumulation of new and diverse knowledge has a positive influence not only on the attitudes of teachers and students but also on the overall flow and quality of the educational process. The refreshed atmosphere in our school will impact everything that happens within it.

Children and Flowers

Creating special corners with flower “cleaners” and herbs in the classroom in the school. The aim is to enrich the air with oxygen and healing aromas. For our children to be healthy and have a quick mind, it is necessary to have clean air in the classroom, saturated with oxygen and fresh fragrances.

Plant a tree – restore the balance in nature

Trees play an important role in preserving life on earth. The more trees and forests there are – the smaller the percentage of global warming, because they extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reduce the greenhouse effect. Their roots significantly reduce the risk of flooding by improving the absorption of rainwater.

For every child in our kindergarten – we plant a tree!
